Cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sun protection – these are the pillars of Asian skin care, which should be incorporated into your daily routine. The effects can surpass our wildest expectations.
Asian skin care has been incredibly popular for several years now. No wonder. It is effective and gives spectacular results. Asian women’s skin is bright and flawless, and looks much younger than their age suggests. Which of us has not looked at them, thinking, how do they do it? What is the secret of their beauty?
Well, the European approach is primarily to fight already formed blemishes or wrinkles, while the Asian approach is based on preventing the appearance of any imperfections. Preventive action is much easier and much more effective than dealing with existing problems.
The key is the multi-step care, which is also a kind of ritual, rather than a quick wipe the face with micellar fluid and inaccurate paste cream. Here, the facial skin is given more time.
A crime for the skin is improper cleansing. Thorough makeup removal is a step that cannot be skipped in any case. Asians prefer two-step cleansing – first with cleansing oil (fortunately, there are more and more of them on the store shelves, so no one should have a problem with buying them) and then with water-based cosmetics (liquid, gel, foam). Only then we can be sure that all impurities are gone from our face.
The culmination of makeup removal is a face massage – always upwards to counteract gravity, and in addition to stimulate microcirculation and drainage of lymph and delay the aging process.
Regular exfoliation helps to get rid of dead skin cells, smooth and tighten the skin and cleanse the pores. In addition, it also does a great job of gradually lightening discoloration and evening out skin tone. The aforementioned massage can be performed while applying the scrub.
The recommended cosmetic is an enzymatic peeling. It does not have abrasive particles, so it works well for sensitive or problematic skin.
The next step, which every Asian woman remembers (even if she has not exfoliated that day), is toning. Thanks to this, we restore the proper pH and regenerate the skin’s protective barrier. Toners should be moisturizing and nourishing, and not, as in the case of European women, strongly astringent and drying. The best are those with a diffuser, which we can conveniently spray on our face without having to rub it with a cotton ball.
If we have enough time, we can try to apply a special moisturizing essence, a serum properly chosen to our needs (mainly in the evening) or a mask (usually a sheet mask)
However, we do not skip two steps – the eye cream and the face cream. The skin around the eyes needs special treatment as it is very delicate, thin and sensitive. It is worth remembering that dark circles and puffiness in this area greatly age us. Asian eye creams have a light consistency, but very strong and beneficial effect.
In the case of face cream, we choose the one with a good composition, moisturizing, which will properly take care of our skin. Asians prefer to apply it in the evening and choose a lighter essence in the morning.
The last layer is sunscreen as a separate cosmetic, unless our cream or essence has a high SPF. What is important, we use protection against the rays every day throughout the year, and not only in the summer, on vacation or vacation. Then we effectively fight not only sunburn, but also hyperpigmentation, loss of firmness and photoaging and wrinkles.
